I'm often asked who's your gardener? or who's your electrician? so I've finally put my Linda's List of local five-star recommended household contractors and personal contacts on my website. I've personally used everyone on the list, and I recommend all of them without hesitation. I've used other contractors in the years I've lived in Nipomo but if I've ever had even a small issue with them, they're not on my list. I hope you find my list helpful. Household Contractors

• Car Washer (mobile) — Sherman Hale, mobile 805-878-6765 — Sherman does meticulous work. My windows are always spotless. Call or text him several days before you'd like your car washed and he'll give you a date and a two-hour window. You leave your car parked in front of your house and the cash in the visor. Easy!

• Electrician — Alberto Sanchez, mobile 805-714-6173 — Everyone loves Alberto. He has his own business and works full time as a contractor for for Shea Homes, but he does private jobs on his lunch hour and on weekends. He's the best electrician we've ever had!

• Flooring (carpet, tile, wood) — Cal Coast Carpets, 805-481-5559

• Handyman — Chae (pronounced CHAY) Meadows, mobile 805-801-2300 — Meticulous work! Very friendly but not chatty. He's all about getting the job done right.

• Heating and Air Conditioning — Allstar Heating and Air, office 805-688-4018

• Housekeeper — Luz Ramirez, mobile 805-406-8599 — The best of the best! Luz is the sweetest person you'll ever meet.

• Gardener — Jaime (pronounced HIGH-me) Fuerte, mobile 805-459-3052 — Jaime and his guys José and Marcelo (pronounced mar-SAY-lo) work their butts off, are always on time, never miss a day, and will do anything you ask. Jaime is a master tree trimmer.

• Landscaper — Mike Carroll, mobile 805-325-1028 — Mike has a great eye for landscaping and great landscaping concepts but you need to hold him to his price. Be careful, his labor and materials may exceed his quote and he may ask you to pay the difference. His guys Terry and Christian and Christian's brother Luis have been with Mike for many years and they do excellent work and always clean up at the end of each day.

• Pest Control — Star Pest Control, PO Box 917, Nipomo, mobile 805-619-8151 — Travis Reynolds is the owner and sometimes the service rep, the nicest guy. This is a family-owned business and he hires only nice guys. Always shows up as scheduled and always right on time!

• Plumber — A Perfect Plumbing Solution, PO Box 1291, Arroyo Grande, office 805-709-6311 — Paul Karp owner, a good guy!

• Roof Repair — Hector Ruiz Perez, 210 W Orchard Street, Santa Maria, mobile 805-698-5868

• Tile and Grout Cleaner — DADS Tile and Grout Restoration, 744 Panorama Drive, Pismo Beach, mobile 805-459-8889 — Didier Artega is the owner and service rep. He charges per square foot for floor tile and grout cleaning and he gives you his estimate in writing. Not inexpensive but he spends hours on the job and when he's done, the tile and grout look brand new.

• TV Audio Video Repair — Lou Silva, Have It Wired, 805-264-2276

• Window Cleaning — Eric Mettler, Monarch Window Cleaning, office 805-709-6100 — Everyone loves Eric! He's always somewhere In the Trilogy Monarch Dunes development so you'll often see him or his guys when they're working. You'll be really please with their work, your windows will sparkle!

• Window Treatments (shutters and curtains) — Jason Manville, Rendevous Shutters Shades Drapery, mobile 805-928-4356
