"Berry Good" French Toast
From my girlfriend Lisa Laflamme

Here's what my girlfriend, Lisa, said when she gave me this super yummy recipe:  "As you know, I am not what one would consider a cook (quit laughing).  However, I recently had the BEST French toast at a breakfast meeting.  My co-worker, Sarah, says she makes it the night before every holiday and it's become a family tradition.  You just pop it into the oven in the morning and voilą, a masterpiece!  It was DELICIOUS and easy so I wanted to pass it along (if I can make it, anyone can)!"

Ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1-1/2 cups milk
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
6 eggs
10 thick slices of French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 3-ounce package cream cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Powdered sugar
Real maple syrup

Generously grease a 2-1/2 quart casserole, or 13x9x2 rectangular baking dish.  Beat flour, milk, sugar, vanilla, salt and eggs in large bowl with hand beater until smooth.  Stir in bread cubes until coated.  Pour bread mixture into pan.  Top evenly with cream cheese, blueberries and nuts.  Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.  This is best when made the night before.

Heat oven to 400 degrees.  Uncover and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.  Sprinkle with powdered sugar.  Serve with hot maple syrup and enjoy!
