Ever since the first moment I saw Michelle, Jim and Cathy's first granddaughter, I fell in love with her, and she gets more and more adorable by the minute.  And look!  She has a darling little sister, Madison, who (see below) is just the sweetest Santa's helper ever. This page though, is really a story about Michelle and her special gift from Santa on Christmas.

Michelle had absolutely fallen in love with Belle, the princess in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," and that's all she talked about day and night. Michelle loved to dance through the house, just like the princess she knew she was, and with Christmas drawing near, Michelle could talk of nothing else but Belle.  One morning, just days before Christmas, when she had slept over at Jim and Cathy's, she woke up and said with a huge sigh, "Oh, Grandma, I just know Santa is going to bring me a yellow dress like Belle's!"

And that innocent little wish from that tiny little girl grabbed Cathy's heart and tugged and tugged and tugged.  And so when Cathy looked and looked and looked but couldn't find Belle's yellow dress anywhere, I'm sure her eyes glassed over as she thought, "Now what!"  So in the midst of all the holiday rush, just days before Christmas, Cathy stayed up night after night and made Michelle her very own yellow satin "Belle" dress.  And here are the darling photos from that Christmas morning when Michelle found her special present from Santa Claus . . . well, from Mrs. Santa Claus, that is!
