The Coffin
A young woman is walking home very late one October night when she hears a
BUMP BUMP BUMP behind her.
Looking back, she sees an upright coffin coming down the middle of the street
towards her . . . BUMP BUMP BUMP!
Terrified, and in total disbelief, the woman runs towards her home, the coffin
bouncing quickly behind her . . . faster . . . faster
. . . faster . . . BUMP BUMP BUMP!
Fumbling with her keys, she opens the door, rushes in, and locks it behind her.
The coffin hurls itself at the door . . .
CRASH . . . and follows the woman inside.
Rushing upstairs, the woman runs to the bathroom and locks herself in, her heart
pounding and her breath coming in sobbing gasps.
The coffin starts up the stairs after her, the lid of the coffin clapping all the way
. . . clappity BUMP . . . clappity BUMP . . .
clappity BUMP!
With tremendous force the coffin breaks down the door . . . CRASH!
The woman screams and reaches for something
. . . anything . . . but all she can find is a box of
cough drops!
Desperate, she throws the cough drops at the coffin . . .
. . . and the coffin stops!
